Barcelona virtually tied up their first official title of the season after taking a three goal lead against Betis in the first leg of the Spanish Supercup. All three goals came in the second half, with Giuly beating the offside trap to open the scoring just two minutes after the restart, Eto'o running on to Xavi's pass to make it two soon afterwards, and Ronaldinho wrapping things up with a dipping free kick later on. The return leg is in the Nou Camp next Saturday. (13.08.05)
