Transfer rumours

As usual many clubs are having problems relocating players who are returning from loan spells and who have no place in the first team squads. Barcelona's Saviola is no doubt the biggest name amongst them, and the club are desperately looking for someone who is prepared to at least share a part of his high salary on a loan deal. The solution may be closer to home than they thought, city neighbours Espanyol having made the best offer to date. Valencia too have a long list of returning players, including De los Santos, Parri and Pedro López, all of whom were loaned out to first division clubs last season, and Deportivo have yet to offload Pandiani, who is expected to rejoin Birmingham very soon.
