Pre-season matches

Real Madrid continued their pre-season World tour with mixed results, losing 3-0 in their first game in Japan against Tokyo Verdy but then beating the higher ranked Jubilo Iwata 1-3 with goals from Raúl and Ronaldo (2). The squad now make their weary way to Thailand for their last game before returning home for a well earned rest. Meanwhile three Spanish sides are taking part in the Budweiser tournament in Shanghai. With Sevilla and Villa due to play the final on Saturday after seeing off Shanghai United and Zaragoza respectively. Barcelona are also making their way to the Far East, with games against Yokohama Mariners in Japan and Shenzen Jianlibao in China to come in the next few days. (28.07.05)
