Transfer rumours
The transfer market
continues to plod along, with a number of interesting signings in the last few
days but nothing earth-shattering. There are a lot of potentially big moves in
the pipeline though, and if one or two happen it could set off a small
avalanche. Keep an eye out this week for news on Robinho (the longest running
saga on television), Baptista, Figo, Saviola, Pandiani and Luque, to name but a
few. Meanwhile Zaragoza have tied up their attack for the new season with
Ewerthon and Sergio García signing, as have Málaga, with Salva
rejoining and Couñago moving back after a few years in England with
Ipswich. Benayoun is on his way to the UK though after agreeing a move to West
Ham United, and Arteta will also be returning to Everton after cash strapped
Real Sociedad allowed him to go. Aloisi will be staying in Spain however,
Alavés snapping him up after a move to Panathinaikos fell through due to
a failed medical check. (16.07.05) |
