Pre-season matches

Many teams are starting their pre-season program of fixtures, including Real Madrid who are one of the first to kick off with their round the World tour. They won their first game against Mexico's Chivas in Chicago by 3-1 thanks to late goals from Mejía, Guti and Soldado after falling behind. Real Sociedad and Espanyol were not so fortunate though, both losing their opening matches in their respective tournaments in South Korea and China. (16.07.05)
