Deportivo La Coruña
beat Slaven Belupo 0-3 in Koprivnica, a comfortable win following on from their
1-0 victory in the first leg. Rubén Castro strengthened his claim for a
place in the first team squad when he opened the scoring just after the quarter
hour mark, leaving Crnac for dead before shooting inside Pelin's near post. And
it could have been more before the break, Rubén having a second goal
disallowed by the referee and Sergio rattling the woodwork with a free kick.
Víctor added another
from the penalty spot though early in the second half after Héctor was
fouled by Gal, and Munitis came close when he hit the bar a few minutes later.
Diego Tristán came on for his first appearance this season soon
afterwards, and he got on the end of De Guzmán's cross to wrap things up
ten minutes from the end. Depor go on to play Newcastle in the semi-final next
Wednesday. |
