Villarreal bowed out of the Champions League after drawing 0-0 against Arsenal in their second leg match. Pellegrini's side had to score to cancel out the English team's one goal lead from a week ago, but they were unable to beat Lehmann, who set a new record for the competition with a tenth game in a row without letting in a goal. Guille Franco tested the German keeper a couple of times either side of half time, but the best chance for the Spaniards came just two minutes before the end when they were awarded a hotly disputed penalty after José Marí fell under a challenge from Clichy. Lehmann guessed correctly though to keep out Riquelme's kick and take his side through to the final, where they could meet Barcelona if they can win through against AC Milan tomorrow.
