Spain's under 21 side came from a goal down to beat Scotland 3-1 in this friendly game in Alcoy. The youngsters dominated the first half, with debutant Igor Angulo hitting the post, but they found themselves behind just before the break when O'Connor got ahead of Moyà to head home Sweeny's free kick. Three minutes later though the Scots were left with ten men when Clarkson picked up a second booking, and Iñaki Sáez took advantage to make four attacking changes at the interval. Ten minutes after the restart Spain drew level when Iniesta beat Smith with a well struck free kick, and half time substitutes Arizmendi and Cazorla combined for the Villarreal youngster to put his side ahead soon afterwards. Melli got a third from the penalty spot later on after Jonathan fell under Whittaker's challenge to give his team a boost before their European qualifying game against Bosnia next week.
