La Rochelle. Spain's new
crop of youngsters got off to a good start, drawing this friendly international
against a side containing many of the players who had won the World Youth
Finals a couple of years ago. Iñaki Sáez returned to his old job
in charge of the under 21 squad, and included Arsenal's 17 year old midfielder
Cesc in the team. Riesgo had to save from an active Le Tallec as France
dominated early on, but Gabi could have put his side in front had he found the
target when alone in front of Gavanon before the break. And although spain fell
behind to a Matthieu goal in the second half, Sevilla's Jesús Navas
equalised near the end. |
