Spain are out of the Youth World Cup after losing 1-3 to Argentina at the quarter final stage. Iñaki Sáez's side could have gone behind early on when Barcelona's Messi had a goal disallowed, but soon afterwards Zabaleta did beat Ribas to open the scoring. Zaragoza's Zapater levelled the scores just after the half hour mark with a strong shot after Llorente laid back Molinero's cross, and for a few minutes the youngsters were on top. But two goals in three minutes by Oberman and Messi midway through the second half put an end to their participation for another year. (25.06.05)
