Second division B play-offs - semi finals, second leg

Defeats for some of the favourites in the second leg of the semi-finals, with three of the four regional group champions knocked out of the competition. Only Real Madrid B survived, their 2-0 win over Zaragoza B setting up a group D final against Conquense, who beat Burgos 1-0. Rayo Vallecano didn't win their group but they were expected to bounce back to the second division at the first attempt after their surprise relegation last season. However they fell at the first hurdle, losing 1-0 to Real Unión in Irún, and it will be the Basque side who meet Lorca next week in the group C play off.

Regional group II champions Ponferradina are also out after losing 0-1 to Alcalá, who will face Hércules after the Alicante based side beat Ceuta 2-0 in group A. And Sevilla B were knocked out on the away goal rule after a 1-1 draw with group B rivals Zamora, the winners drawn to play Castellón, 1-2 victors over Universidad Las Palmas. Finally Talavera will have to meet Mirandés to avoid relegation to the third division after they lwere held to a 2-2 draw by Fuenlabrada. (12.06.05)

Lorca are the first side through to the play off finals after winning 1-2 at Alicante. Meanwhile Gramanet beat Mirandés on a penalty shoot out in the relegation knock out to ensure they stay in the second division B next season. (11.06.05)
