A second half hat-trick from Espanyol's Jonathan Soriano against Bosnia took Spain's under 21 side up to the top of their European qualifying group. Iñaki Sáez's side found themselves behind in the tenth minute when Ibricic fired a dipping shot over the head of Riesgo, but a few minutes later Gavilán levelled the scores after Héctor Font set him up. Jonathan came on at the break and within two minutes he had put his side in front, heading Iniesta's free kick in off the crossbar. And later in the second half he ran on to a through ball after good work by Font and Gabi to get beat Jakupovic once again. A lapse of concentration let in Phelic to head one back though, and there were some nervous moments before Jonathan completed his hat-trick, picking up a pass from Sergio García and firing in a shot which deflected in to the net off the boot of Héctor Font.
