Under 17 European championship qualifier

Spain got off to a good start in the qualifying mini-league for this summer's European championship, beating Denmark 1-0 in their first match in Mallorca. The only goal of the game was scored by Betis full back Pecci a quarter of an hour from the end. Juan Santiesteban's side's next match will be in two days time against Switzerland, who beat Poland 3-1 in their opening game. (29.03.05)
