Under 19
European Championship
Spain 3 -
Germany 0
A best possible start for
Spain in the under 19 championship, their 3-0 win over Germany in
their opening match in Switzerland confirming them as one of the tournament
favourites. All three goals came in the second half, with Mallorca's
Víctor heading the first from Silva's free kick soon after the restart.
Manager Armando Ufarte brought on Valencia's Gavilán and Real Madrid's
Soldado later on, and the two combined to score a goal apiece to wrap up the
match. The youngsters play their next match against Turkey in Lausanne on
Thursday. (13.07.04) |
