Second
division, day 12
Numancia powered
their way back to the top of the table with a 7-0 win over Ciudad de
Murcia on Sunday, six different players getting their names on the
scoresheet. The Soria based side have yet to let in a goal at home, and they
move ahead of last week's leaders Almería, who were held to a 0-0
draw at bottom club Terrassa. In the last match of the evening,
Elche moved up to within two points of the top three with a 2-0 victory
over Tenerife.
Rayo Vallecano's new
manager Jorge D'Alessandro had an immediate effect, and his side's 2-1 victory
over Sporting Gijon takes them out of the relegation zone.
Málaga B also climb out of the bottom four with their second
victory in a row, 1-2 over Poli Ejido, who replace them in nineteenth
place. Managerless Xerez also ended the weekend in the drop zone after
losing 1-2 to Getafe, and in the other match on Sunday, Salamanca
and Recreativo (who are also looking for a new coach) drew 1-1.
