Spain finished top of their
group after drawing 2-2 with England on Sunday. Juan Santiesteban's side raced
into the lead with goals from Xisco Nadal and Jurado in the first half. However
England came back with two quick goals from Steven Taylor and Milner after the
restart to finish in second place ahead of Italy. Spain go on to play Austria
midweek, with England taking on hosts Portugal in the other semi-final.

Spain advanced into the
semi-finals of the European championship after winning their first two games at
the final group stage. They opened the tournament beating Italy 2-0, both goals
coming in the first half from Villarreal players Cases and Xisco Nadal, and two
days later they recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory over Israel, Silva, David
and Cases getting their names on the scoresheet. Juan Santiestaban's side now
face England tomorrow needing a draw to head group B and avoid a possible tie
