Second
division, day 22
Leaders Murcia were
surprised at home by bottom club Oviedo, who beat them 0-1 to keep their
survival hopes alive. The only goal came from Idiakez after the break,
virtually the only shot at goal by the Asturians in the whole match. David
Vidal's side stay top however, ahead of Levante on goal difference after
they won 1-0 against Getafe. Amato got the goal from a controversial
penalty two minutes before the end. With Zaragoza losing 2-1 to
Córdoba on Saturday night, only one point separates the top three
sides.
Albacete moved to
within to points of the promotion spots after beating Terrassa 1-0, the
second division's top scorer Perera getting the goal in the fourth minute.
Xerez are three points behind them with a 2-1 win against Elche
on Sunday lunchtime, and Poli Ejido move up to sixth despite drawing 0-0
against Eibar. They are now a point ahead of Las Palmas, who beat
struggling Racing Ferrol 1-2 on Saturday night.
The game between
Sporting and Numancia was stopped for seven minutes as tempers
flared, with players fighting and fans invading the pitch. The visitors ended
with nine men, but still won the game 1-2. Salamanca's Raúl
Sánchez won himself a trip to the Caribbean for scoring his side's first
goal in over two months, and they ended up winning 2-1 against
Almería. Tenerife had no problems scoring though; they
beat Compostela 5-1 to send their opponents to the brink of the drop
zone. Badajoz climb out of the bottom four though after winning 1-3 at
Leganés. (09.02.03) |
