Transfer news

Just over three weeks to go before the winter transfer window opens throughout Europe, and rumours are starting to grow about who will be joining who. Roma are pushing for Morientes, Newcastle want De Pedro and another premier league side have asked about Aimar, but none of them are likely to leave their clubs this season. Some stories too about next season, with Real Madrid looking at midfielders (Vieira again and possibly Baraja) and defenders (Chivu?), and Barcelona also thinking of reinforcements such as Emerson, Xabi Alonso, Fernando Torres or Reyes.
