Although clubs have a busy
calendar once the league and other competitions commence, there will be several
friendly matches whenever time allows. We set out below details of those games
which have come to our attention. Please bear in mind that all dates are
provisional and are subject to change at short notice. Matches already played
in red, games pending in blue, late changes in bold. For summer pre-season

Coudet, who gave winning pass to Kaviedes in last minute. Catanha equalised
just before half time against lower division side, who had taken the lead

division side. Late goal by Bolo saved a 1-1 draw, but Rayo lost 4-3 on the

Málaga v Boavista Friendly against Portuguese side
as part payment of Litos transfer. Peiró gave a run out to a lot of his
reserve players, but Málaga lost 0-1, with Silva scoring for the
visitors in the first half. Rafa saved a penalty after the break. |

Real Sociedad 0 - Girondins Bordeaux 1 Friendly match played in Bergara.
Real lined up with several reserve players in their team and lost to a late
Darcheville goal. Bordeaux's new signing from Real Madrid Savio lined up in
attack alongside Dugarry, and had a good game. |

Deportivo 4 - Hannover '96 1 Juan Acuña trophy, Riazor stadium.
Played against team who has signed three of their players on loan. One of them,
Jaime, gave the visitors the lead, but goals from Víctor, Luque (2) and
Capdevila gave Depor the trophy for the ninth time. |

Recreativo Huelva 1 - Córdoba 1 Friendly against local rivals,
with proceeds to the local charity "Hermandad de la Virgen de la Cinta". A
chance for Recre to put out their lesser used players, but they fell behind to
a Soto goal and only equalised right at the end through Gallego. Xisco was less
than charitable with the referee, who sent him off for bad language.

opposition in Balaidos stadium. Lotina put out his first team for 45 minutes
then his reserves in the second half. Luis Felipe scored for the visitors after
the break, and Méndez was sent off later on for kicking an opponent from
behind. |

Denilson, Rivas and Luis Fernández started the game from Víctor's
first choice side. A dull game, with the home side scoring through Marco Paulo

and Juan Sánchez travelled out on Saturday with squad of B team players

match played in Marseille. Denoueix gave a run out to his reserve players, who

Barcelona v Gava Van Gaal wanted to give a run out to
lesser used players while internationals away. Match scheduled behind close
doors against 2B side in Barcelona's mini-stadium, but eventually called off
due to waterlogged pitch. |

of Saint Jean de Anglet. Bordeaux took an early lead through Fiston, but goals
by Rivero and Ochoa gave Osasuna the victory. |

Friendly
match played at Amorebieta to celebrate the Basque club's 75th anniversary. The
only goal came from a Larrazábal header in the second half. Karanka and
Alkiza made their reappearance after injuries, and Messias had a run out for
Racing. |

Espanyol tour of Emirates Took advantage of break for international
matches, supposedly to play two friendlies in Dubai, Al Wasl (13th) and Al
Jazira (15th). However only played one v Al Wasl which they won 0-2 with most
of their reserve players, Arteaga reappeared and Jarque and Maxi got the goals.
Second match called off, as was rescheduled game v Dubai, so returned home
rather upset about the whole thing. |

the African country's international side in Espanyol B's stadium. Domoraud
played for the visitors, Moya put out a team of reserves and youngsters. Goals
by Kolou, Drogda, Kolotore and Domoraud himself fot the visitors, and Jonathan
for the Catalans. . |

Charity match "Drogas No" The XI annual charity game for the fight
against drugs (Proyecto Hombre), traditionally hosted by the league champions.
This year the match was at the Mestalla stadium where Valencia played against a
team made up of the league all stars. Valencia won 3-1, with two from Salva and
another from Angulo. Julen Guerrero scored for the all stars. There was a
ladies match first between Levante and a selection from other teams. Ronaldo's
wife didn't make it though as she was at the airport waiting for her husband.

youth sides from Barcelona, Valencia, Las Palmas and the host island of
Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands. Played at Municipal stadium, Puertos de
Rosario. Valencia won the tournament. |

a friendly game against players from the Costa da Morte to collect funds for
the area recently hit by the oil tanker spill. Depor won 4-0, with goals from

Real Madrid centenary match Real Madrid took on a "Rest of the World"
team as the final act of their centenary year. The game coincided with the FIFA
meeting in Madrid from 16-18 December. The All Stars took a three goal lead by
half time through Klose, Kaká and Cissé, but Madrid came back to
draw 3-3 with strikes by Solari (pen), Tote and Cambiasso. |

Second match
to promote Madrid's bid to host the 2012 Olympic games, this time in the
Vicente Calderón stadium. Many stars on international duty though. Javi
Moreno and Movilla gave Atletico the lead, but B team player Nuñez
pulled one back for Madrid on his first team debut. Hierro and Morientes were
both in the starting line up having returned from injuries. |

travelled to Mexico to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mexican champions.
The central americans won the game with two from Vicente Sánchez and
another from Ariel Franco. De los Santos replied for Valencia in the first
half, but Mista was sent off before the just break, leaving his side with ten
men for the second half. |

African side prior to their participation in the Confederation cup in France.
Eto'o was the star of the game, and Nadal made his first appearance for four
months after returning from an injury. |

Catalunya cup semi-finals Regional tournament between Catalan based
teams. 07 May: Gavà 1 - Espanyol 0. Goal by ex Espanyol defender
Herrero. for gave the second division B side victory. Oscar missed a penalty
the first division team. 08 May: Terrassa 1 - Barcelona 1. Terrassa won 4-2
on penalties. Rochemback put the first division side ahead early on, but
on-loan Babangida equalised. Puyol and Nano missed their penalty kicks.
