Under 21
international
Holland 0 - Spain 3
Spain ran out easy
winners against Holland in Tuesday night's friendly under-21
international. This was the second match with the new crop of young players,
and Iñaki Sáez drafted in young strikers Fernando Torres from
Atlético and Dani from Betis for their first appearances at this level.
Sevilla's Reyes pulled out of the squad though with an injury. Spain were on
top right from the start, and after Asier Del Horno headed the opening goal,
Arteta added a second ten minutes before the interval. Sáez brought on
several new players in the second half, including Corona who missed a penalty
but made up for his miss with a third goal five minutes from the end.
