Zaragoza came back from a
goal down to take this first leg by a three goal margin Juan Manuel Lillo kept
an unchanged side for the game, with Yordi once again left on the bench. A
small but enthusiastic crowd egged them on after the Polish side's defender
Kaluzny surprised them early in the game. Zaragoza gradually took control of
the match, and Acuña, often the savior of the team, equalized with his
second spectacular goal in two games. Lillo brought on Yordi at the break to
add extra push in attack, and the youngster made the difference, scoring twice
within 25 minutes of coming on after José Ignacio had given his side the
lead early in the half. Zaragoza could have scored more later on, with Radimov
and Marcos Vales going close in the last few minutes, but they should have done
enough to see them through in the second leg in two weeks time.
