Camacho's squad for the
upcoming friendly against Holland in Sevilla included five new faces from the
20 man group he selected for the World Cup qualifiers in October. In come two
of Barcelona's Olympic silver medal winners, Xavi and Puyol, both of whom are
in line to receive their first caps, and they are joined by Barcelona team mate
Luis Enrique, now fit again after a long injury. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid
contribute five players each, with Madrid's Guti called up again after
brilliant early season form. Inter Milan's new signing Farinós, who
missed the Olympic games through injury, is also in the squad for the second
time in his career. Seven players drop out of the squad, Velasco,
Aranzábal, Gerard, Julen Guerrero, Víctor, Iván Helguera
and Rufete, and there is no place for Etxeberria, still not fully fit after a
string of niggling injuries. The full squad is: Keepers: Esteban (Oviedo), Casillas (Real
Madrid) Defenders: Abelardo, Puyol and Sergi (Barcelona), Manuel
Pablo (Deportivo), Hierro (Real Madrid), Paco (Zaragoza) Midfield:
Luis Enrique and Xavi (Barcelona), Farinós (Inter Milan), Guti (Real
Madrid), Baraja and Mendieta (Valencia) Forwards: Urzaiz (Bilbao),
Catanha (Celta), Munitis and Raúl (R Madrid) (10.11.00)
