Champions league day 3: Once again three of the four Spanish teams got good results and head up their groups, with Barcelona the only black sheep. The Catalan side went down 0-2 at home to AC Milan, their second defeat in a row, and they will have trouble to get through to the next stage. Deportivo are doing well in their first ever Champions League, holding Juventus to a goal-less draw in the Delle Alpi stadium. Zinedine Zidane was sent off in the second half. Valencia recorded their third win out of three with a late goal by substitute Zahovic against Lyon, and that after Coupet saved a Mendieta penalty, whilst Real Madrid came back from behind twice to defeat Bayer Leverkusen 2-3. Roberto Carlos scored two and Guti got the other, with the injured Raúl only coming on in the second half. (27.9.00)
