Sevilla moved three points clear at the top of the second division after beating Lleida 2-0. Lleida drop to bottom place. Last week's co-leaders Jaén lost to local rivals Córdoba, but stay in second place, a point ahead of Levante, Leganés and Recreativo, who all drew away. Tenerife's draw with Levante leaves them in sixth place. Atlético Madrid finally got their first points, Salva scoring a goal in each half to give them a 2-0 victory over Compostela. As in the first three weeks, goals were hard to come by, with only 15 scored in the eleven matches and there were five draws, including three scoreless (including Betis at Badajoz).
