Rayo Vallecano made their debut in European competitions with a crushing 0-10 victory against Andorra's part timers Constellació in the UEFA cup preliminary round. New signing Elvir Bolic scored four, with two each from Michel and Bolo and goals from Cembranos and Pablo Sanz. Rayo are playing in the competition this year as their name came out of the hat in the draw for the 'fair-play' candidate.
